Soul Calibur for the PSP eh?

Oh yeah, I guess Tekken 6 will be on the PSP as well.

Perhaps the only reason for me to buy a PSP. And here I was thinking that the Soul Calibur series ended with IV.

Shimatta! I have a few words of this!!!

1- I just KNEW it was going to be on the PSP someday, do want!
2- ...I hope makes an approach in there, or I'll be slightly unhappy.
3- This still does NOT change my plan of getting SC-4 with a PS3 (the PS2 is dying, functions are giving out... will need a replacement and I don't like the last changes they have did to the PS2, looks weaker...)

PS2's are cheap nowadays, I might suggest getting a new one to last until you get a PS3.

The design of the new PS2s' look so frail and weak, they appear as if way to easy to break.

I've had mine (it's a slim) for a year and it's still chugging along happily. I got it modded so I can play those games that I'll never ever see in my country.

match before pretty much was even more hilarious. We had
a vs match using the silly weapons (Wooden Katana vs Kut-Ku
like Bird-beak Scythe of mine)... true we did share a few sour
words back and forth a bit but no profanity. She's better than
she thinks she is at the game.

My friends and I swear at each other in videogames all the time. It's great.

No clthed Yoshimitsu custom char is funnier, and bald.
Random flag in unerpants...and that rape-throw he has...its hilarious.

Of the side note, I had a emergency during the time. I
thought that our car was going to self-destruct, but I
found out that it was the breaks stuck in a lock, and
fixed it, so we made it safely to college and I managed
to get this as well along the way. I'll be emailing my

And yes everyone, Kratos is seriously in this game indeed.

: Oh hell yes... this game is like Gradius 3&4, rename it
like Soul Calibur 3&4! (Shop owner agreed but said more like
SC4>+SC3 fusion!) I even ended up getting the usual Soul
Calibur newcomer's Art Book and Soundtrack CD bonus starter
batch with it!

Started with my main two: Self as original character, and Shikigami
Weapon mode (as Arala Cran); it's a bit hard to execute lift-off
attacks while as yet combos are new and a bit easy to pull off,
also as Ara, I seem to go a bit too crazy with the scythe! The gameplay
is extremely smooth for a PSP version, and already started off with a
LOT of items, the boss is already open, and Kratos is SERIOUSLY in this
game. People can even take avi-snapshots of custom units this time!
(Required for confirmation to finish creation) and my favorite voice
type has taken different new lines added!

I just started a minor fight and ended up with an instant Critical Finish
(Target DESTROYED!) off Voldo in less than 2 minutes in training mode
using Xiang's style: Target Destroyed with Waterga-Attack

: Good Lord! (Can express that line for two ways)

This game has great ups and downs indeed! More positives than penalties though.

Here's my quick review and diary:



Gameplay is a bit limited; there's only
Training (heaven, lol!),
Quick Battle (Hunting for enemies like in Tekken 5 and T-5.5DR, but can select your targets), but some new modes too:
The Gauntlet (a bit of anime in here, skits like in Tales of the Abyss and Radiant Mythology. LOL @ Cassaundria taking an upper from Hilda! -been hired by them past stage 6),
Trials (Three top missions; one is five stages, the second had 8, and the
final is survival mode. The personality status effects displayed under the
enemy characters' names is a warning; I hate the ones in "Violence" status
because they are angry and are a LOT of trouble! <- will call this "Hell")
Versus (quite useless without another live enemy player)
Character-Creation (Stuff already unlocked for the start is a large
amount, but I was dead wrong! There's still a LOT to be done!)

Options Cons:
There is no difficulty adjuster for the game, all enemies will either be lame or crazy on their own.
There is no Round adjuster for the game, everything is on their specificly set limits. (Trials battle mostly only allows 2 deaths, Quick Battle mode only allows 3 deaths, The Gauntlet is a one-coin... one death and I fail the mission while I mostly have to clear out one objective 5 times, Training mode has no limit even for showing only one)

BGM is quite epic. (Did I mention that I got the newcomer's Art book + OST disk bonus?)

The adventure; the epic, and the stupidity:
-Critical kills are sweet! Elements I used are Water (Xiang), Ice (Sieg), and Darkness (Zasalamel) by custom units.
-My Shikigami Weapon has gotten a chip on her sholder... gone rather crazy with her scythe, and "Now, atone for your sins..." (quite an angry intro), "You STUPID... FOOL!!!!" (wow, way more serious with this new voice-type, actually sounds more original like in CS2).
-Mr.Top-hat is a perv. LOL! He spanked me three times (once as original
self, twice while I was as Arala), jumpped me a few times but got unlucky
once (tried to go tekken style on me as Ara, but I somehow kicked him in
teh pinecone... hard) and even ripped off my dress three times! =^O.O'^=
(same order), so I blasted him to the underworld with a critical finish...
"DESTROYED!!!"
-A certain sibling who is too much into ZO finally started getting greedy and
took my game AND Slaystation Portable with it, lol! (Why don't you just go
back to your online gaming now, pig?! <-being silly, lol!)
-Sieg's voice here lost the "umph" he had in SC2 & SC3 (quite a letdown...), but some of his attacks have been buffed (woot for that!)
-Xiang's stats and combos have changed, making things a tiny bit harder for her and myself as her or with her style, and the attack power of some moves has decreased... (oh no!!)

Ok, basically, needs to be able to edit Siegfried and co more, like in 4.

Dampirre is BADASS, he has groin stomp!

er...Sieg is a little too strong now...less balanced.

Yun seong feels good still..

and -20 for my PSP dying when Im away from my charger...

Otherwise good game, I need more time to make a good review.

lol...I found a good Hwang creation for SC4...im guessing it should work in this one too...heres a pic:

Its his 2p costume in SC1...but he looks GREAT...damn i miss Hwang...He was the best IMO...but Xianghua and Yun Seong are close enough for now...though next game needs him back...but older maybe, seeing as it IS 4 yrs after SC1.

well, Im sad cause I cant make a Tuxedo mask character...if you can, post the formula eventually...Ill try too..

either drains or heals the target (he healed me? what?)

1: Renetona (myself; I'm obviously using Xianghua's style, as always.)
2: (looks more original, voice is more saint-like but with a hint of nominal rage. Equipped with Scythe.)
3: (Black dress, with Soul Calibur equipped)
4: Amy (in black with a wand)
5: (using Amy's style and voice)
6: Bydo-Xianghua / Princess Kaguya OF-5 (more beast-like but still has her wings, has Nightmare's leg armor, lol!)
7: Juju-Ran (from Onimusha: Blade Warriors)
8: Tamiko (my mage-self from Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, carrying a huge @$$ sword, lol!)
9: Mint Xiao (Mint used her own stuff for her character-self, quite cute even for me being another girl to admit)
10: Mao (from Shining Tears, once again, her outfit looks a bit more accurate here, but I may have to try her alternative dress which was shown in some fan-art)

11: Siegfried in black armor
12: Roddy from Blaster Master: Blasting again (WHAT?! -- no kidding! Yes, Roddy, the son of Jason, from the Blaster Master series! I have no idea why I added him, lol!)
13: Ruk (my b/f! )
14: Lucifer (another great friend of mine)
15: Roman I (from Armed & Dangerous, Luce made him)
16: (Luce also ported him here, is using a scythe as well... but I think another style would suit him better)

Artemis (my favorite Beast-Master girl from Disgaea 2),

(not very many outfits here will suit myself as her so easily... need to find more parts)
(Just because my SO-3 disc is malfunctioning, doesn't mean I ignore it)
