(Casual Game ideas) The Gnatslayer Empty (Casual Game ideas) The Gnatslayer

Arala Cran A silly little idea of a game with only one objective: survive and defend against insect-invaders.

Was thinking of if I had a idea it'd be this:
A girl (you) is just being idle near a PC while gaming and trying to enjoy a small meal, but here comes some unwanted guests: bugs! There's several different kinds to fend yourself from, choose over five abilities to use and defeat as many as possible before time runs out without a mishap landing or accidentally hitting an object! Defend yourself in three cases: your drink, your food, and your own self!

There's four types of enemies with different targeting objectives to fight. No bosses...
The pests who disturb her are:
1: Flies. They're large, pesky, ugly, and are the filthiest!
Encounter Rate: 3 (low)
Targeting habits: Food = Danger!, Drink = Risky, Heroine = In sights.
HP: High
Boldness: Highest (doesn't flee much)
Movement Rate: medium when not attacking, fast when fleeing and when attacking.

2: Gnats. They're small and hard to hit or see, and sometimes smart in bad ways! They're a predominant bunch!
Encounter Rate: 1 (highest!)
Targeting habits: Drink = Danger!, Food = Risky, Heroine = In sights.
HP: Weak
Boldness: Average (does usual trolling and cowardly evading)
Movement Rate: fast when not attacking, medium when attacking, fast when fleeing.

3: Mosquitos. They're the smallest yet most aggressive and have a nasty chance to pursue you instead! They hurt!
Encounter Rate: 2 (somewhat normal)
Targeting habits: Food = not interested, Drink = In sights, Heroine = Danger!
HP: Weakest
Boldness: Lowest (nasty cowards that resort to sneak-attacking, flees when noticed under attack)
Movement Rate: fastest overall.

4: Spiders. They can't fly but are the deadliest, strongest, and ugliest of all the pests! They can also ambush from any direction and will end the girl's run in an instant!
Encounter Rate 4 (rarely)
Targeting habits: Food = not interested, Drink = not interested, Heroine = Danger!
HP: Highest!
Boldness: Low (sneaky and will resort to sneak attacks, will become active if sighted. Bigger ones will not care and be aggressive.)
Movement Rate: slow when not attacking, fast when fleeing or attacking.

Victory Conditions:
-Defeat as many pests that appear as possible within the time limit.
-Keep at least food and/or drink in untouched condition.
-(Rare Hunt Bonus Mode) Defeat all pests before time runs out.

Failure Conditions:
-Accidentally hit an object,
-A pest managed to hit her food and drink,
-The Heroine has lost HP from being attacked by aggressive bugs (Mosquitos damaged her 3 times, or Spiders damaged her just once)

There's four protagonists in this case:
1: The Girl (you) - The Player. Her(your) standing condition is HP.

2: Food. A target to defend against the bugs and has least protection but refills energy.

3: Drink. A target to defend against the bugs and usually has high protection but is small and easy to damage.

4: PC. A object to keep the Heroine's motivation high. Can alert if bugs are nearby sometimes, but can easily get hit, be careful! Has high HP.

Abilities (and armaments):
The heroine can use a few objects in her arsenal to fight off the pests. These are:
-a Flyswatter (High Melee damage, Short reach, High Speed, Unlimited Use, doesn't always start off with. Highly efficient overall, but Super-Effective against Flies.)
-a Zap-Racket (Instant kill/Highest Melee Damage, Short reach, Lowest Speed, Limited Use - Low, doesn't start with.)
-a shoe (Instant Kill Melee, Variable reach - Can be thrown, Medium Speed, Unlimited Use, doesn't always start off with. Super-Effective against Spiders.)
-Deet Spray (No damage, High reach - ranged, Highest Speed, Limited Use - High, doesn't start with. Stuns most bugs in mid-flight. Can be used on the heroine to repel aggressive bugs for a while. Super-Effective against Gnats.)
-a Stationary Zapper (Trap weapon, HP variable - two versions, deactivates overtime, can be used twice. Instant Kill Trap Damage, doesn't always start with. Restored on Stage change. Super-Effective against Mosquitos.)
-plastic wrapping (armor for Food and Drink, lowers motivation but raises awareness, prevents instant loss-contamination, could be converted to a trap.)
-fake drink (Trap weapon, sometimes cannot be used, only effective against Gnats, sometimes fails if the enemy is a smart one.)
-cat slap (High Melee Damage, Shortest reach, unarmed combat of Heroine herself, can sometimes backfire and damage herself slightly for a while, will have to clean herself if successfully defeated a bug. High risk of damaging objects.)

There will be 3 stages:
Stage 1: Afternoon Room
Pros: Easy to find pests, can restock items, Chance of aggressive bugs greatly lowered usually, Easy placement,
Cons: Lots of time, More pests may appear,

Stage 2: Evening Room
Pros: Shorter time limit, trap weapons effectiveness increased, Same placement as Stage 1,
Cons: More aggressive pests appear, Interrupt risks increased, Visibility effectiveness lowers as time decreases,

Stage 3: Nighttime Downstairs
Pros: NPC appears to support, Less pests will appear, High chance of Limited Pests noted (faster ending chance), Placement Change, No interrupt Risk, Rare chance of no pests appearing = instant clear
Cons: Motivation is lowest, More dangerous kinds of pests appear in the bunch, lowest visibility,

Tops are I'm thinking of making this as low-res as possible. On which system though, I have to decide. I was primarily thinking of Pixel Game Maker MV via Steam.

Scenes for the hell of it and laughs:

-if a spider got to the girl, this results in it crawling down right in her face, she glares at it in fear and follows up with a scream, resulting on the "Game Over" screen (considered a Spider is an instant-kill kind of Game Over fail)

-if knocking an object over, the severity will cause a game over and resulting in the heroine having that "Oops... Shocked " look at the screen, and then facepalm.

-if she took 3 hits from mosquitos, she angrily drops her flyswatter (or other item/s) and leaves the room, while scratching at the injuries of the bug bites as a result of a "Game Over" fail.

-if her food and her drink were both hit by any bugs, and both are gone, the protagonist will glare angrily at either the last item which a pest has infested or at the screen as a result of the failure.

-if the time has ran out and bugs have failed to touch any items or her, she casually grabs her items and leaves to the next stage, resulting in success even if no bug was touched.
