: Oh just a random note here from me but I personally feel that the boss battle against Eggman in Sonic's first game in the Labyrinth Zone was one of the hardest battles on the Genesis even compared to the end-game battle of his second and third games, though the second Last boss was brutal as well as a boss rush of TWO fights and NO RINGS (basically gone Contra-Mode!) Shocked

Beaten him at least three to five times in total while back in my childhood days on Sonic's 2nd game (which was the first on the Genesis I've ever had and STILL works to this very day perfectly, wow! Talk about legendary technology that's an antique rare find!) but that fourth battle in his first game? I can't even deal with him on the ROM version! Yikes! one miss and it's sudden death!
