FO-Newearl : Okay so someone shown me a open version of PSO-2 for PC, it's super-laggy and all but I barely managed to be able to get in now successfully; however, there is a problem which is preventing me from starting.

I already had to have a 2nd account set up since some reason the passcode data on my original. I managed to get in with an assumed "Warning! Do not use your nickname as your log ID!" and got kicked but sent back in and corrected all the way up to having to get on a ship and then up to three options; The first I assume is character creation and start-up but as soon as I go there, there's a roster, only one tab.

Ooh, a scene? Hm? Ah, now I see something new! Cute Laugh

Okay so I changed my outfit when reincarnated since I looked WAY too much like Reimi from SO4.

Anyway, the graphics look kinda bad here since the PC sucked, but thanks to Game Booster, it ran at least 3 to 5 FPS so I was able to move around.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
So we start at stage Zero; the intro stage. Operation Codename: "The Day I Was Waiting For"

Here I go with a HUNewm (I think.....?); a hunter-newman Male and he seems kinda fond of me some reason. One factor that I know is that he's quite the crack-shot at sniping since he loves to shoot the bad guys square in the head.

-well anyway we then get unwanted company while the date got interrupted:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

After getting rid of the monkey-like boy, I was then able to request an Air Support unit for a recovery field just before the part it got nasty.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
*insert comment here Love effect *
C'mon, someone do a random one here for me. Razz

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
A new boy shows up and caps the crap out of the new SEED infected beasts which came out of hell and injured a hunter after we only said "hello", how rude of them! Geez...

He finds a very large mob ahead and as I expected, he unleashes his Mag's Fury!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Can we say.... "Ixion Charge!!" yes he ran them over with a lightning charge and bombs the field with an amplified Razonde Attack, bye bye SEED freaks!

But what's this...?! Oh no! He missed a large one! We now have our first....
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Boss attack!!

Okay, so maybe not such a tough boss, especially even though I lagged like crap I kept sneaking behind and stayed locked on him like in Lost Planet style and spell-sniped him along with a stab in the head from behind with the sword I had.

Secret notice: Did you know that she's like Ren ?

If you look closely behind her head, she has the "Four ears" thing as I heard other people were often saying about the other girl here. The problem of why her cat ears are extremely hard to see is because she's exactly like Len; her beast-ears are the same exact color as her hair, and with the hat-like ornament in the way it's hard to see them. I think she did this on purpose.

Day 4 (Today!):
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Major Update!
Rappies so absolutely do NOT tollerate seeing the SEED run amok the area this time, that was the first time I ever seen one get angry enough to give the bugs a good peck or two! Shocked (He still hates me too though.... bummer Sad oh well, I had a choice: kill him and the SEED or get rid of the more troublesome foes first. I actually put the Rappy to a little use here and of course however, spared him. He obviously ran away after the Attack Code operation was complete.)

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
But on the other tab, Mini-Rappies seem to like me. He just started singing and dancing around me, absolutely no form of attack whatsoever. I ignored him this time and went after all the rest. (I let him just goof around, lol)

What, do you think that old trick's gonna work on this Veteran FONewwe? You look like a sitting Duck (literally, bird!)

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
^-Note to self:
( Complaining )
FO-Newearl I'm SERIOUSLY starting to have a thing against Beelzebub type SEED-Fiends here, I already taken my first death to one in the Forest sector, but now they're even WORSE here!! FAR WORSE!! Pissed off

Okay so I finally found out the City Raid is actually a event stage, and the problem is that the SEED here are set to lvl 11 (and I'm only lvl 10! Argh!!!) furthermore is that this is Phantasy Star Online, not Portable, so squads of the SEED usually go from swarms of 6 up to 10 or more in ONE ROOM! Sobbing

That was bad enough, but the Beelzebub freaks made things far worse, yet there was chains of hell going on today; first off as mentioned TWO Beelzebubs got in my way at one time and both of those fat ladies summoned a swarm of 8 more crawlers plus the swarmers coming in from behind amped the action up to a gang of 1 against a army of 13 in whole! Even worse was I ended up trapped in a locked room, only to get captured in a corrosion field from a Beelzebub and trapped in a organic cage while swarms of them appeared out of some other entire location where I was trapped AND the air support unit was also shot down at the same time too! Double-Code trouble!

Luckily there were two other JP players in the attack zone, they were in both a Code: Protection and Code: Rescue mission BOTH at the same time! Talk about being a handfull Sad I was so embarrassed. I was stuck like a cat in a corner yet the SEED had freely slipped in through the forcefield they pinned me in and tried to murder me again. That was scratched because thanks to the other two, and they had for the first right away chosen to break me out of the trap then save the pilot next. I of course right away put my effort in to covering them against the swarmers for the Protection Operation without question. That didn't actually go well however as right after that mess was cleaned up, I was assaulted and utterly slaughtered by new Blader-Bugs while also stuck around even 6 more crawlers AND two more Beelzebub freaks all at once AND the time ran out on me all at once, leaving me under an absolute and humiliating defeat.

I failed this stage so bad that they got fed up and threw me out completely after five consecutive failures, and all the ships are down just after I was just tossed out to boot hence here right now. faint

Oh btw this is my in-game face up close via the new chat system, unlike in all other versions of Phantasy Star since I'm elder now even character-wise, I've lost the cutesy face with an injury and now (as of my own self and personality IRL too) ditched smiles with the more Serious-X-Angry look since more mature as well yet been through hell. Even if not actually angry, I just hold that serious face more often by now anyway.

I found out what you messed up on here after having to use your character-self there. You accidently aborted the missions (if the blue notebook isn't shown, that means it's been aborted. If it turns green then that means you best talk to that client ASAP!-- that mission is complete, go get the loot!) Oops!

When you get back in, you'll now have the following:
1: You're now Lvl: 13.
2: Your squad of AI-Units on the field has increased from 2 to 5; Afin's there, the old master is there (who happens to be a pro-sniper), the short-haired girl who looks like Ren is there (and yes she's a mage), and the guy in red who looks like and acts like Lindow from God Eater is now smiling at you. (seems his trust went up! Melody )
3: A itty-bit more Meseta in the bank.
4: Those wolves now are a "Must DESTROY!" because they're dropping gold boxes everywhere! Kill them all!
5: One spot on the matter board of yours (a gold spot) is gone; done in.
6: You've got quite a lot of quests to finish up now, repeat: a LOT.

Thanks loverboy, but I did awful now. I finally did however manage to get to the cavern stage and it's way hotter than in PSO1! Now there's blazing geysers and falling frags from above along with molten magma like in Monster Hunter, but even worse was right when I got to an actual story mission, I failed it (well not exactly; was a demoted "A" rank because I missed something. booo!! That's FAIL!! Crying or Very sad )

Luckily however I think it's possible to retake and correct that, but it's a permanent stain especially on the PC version, shit I'm such a crappy player to have let that slip by!!

Not really. At least it wasn't lower than an "A" rank, and frankly those fiends were just about your direct level there so that was expected. Surprised

Watched as you were actually doing great till the net started acting up again and finally see you managed to get to that cave zone.

Arriving on a start for PSO2 Empty Re: Arriving on a start for PSO2

Post by Alala Kuran Thu Sep 20, 2012 8:21 pm

FO-Newearl : Whew! That was one hell of a blast through.....well.... Hell itself in PSO2, literally! They threw all sorts of BS at me all at once today; several Giant Armadillo-freaks, some SEED-creature being a real bitch bombing me from behind on yet another "Emergency! Code: Avoid!" raid which hurt like shit but I still got away only around the corner to find it come back for more so I just gave up and ran into... Bad Bat again! This time was his real battle!!

Shot that SOB down like in Lost Planet (had to, bad camera angles without the controller here isn't cool!) and still got pancaked at least twice. He gone down though, no failures here, but then so we go to "Hell" (the Cave) and there they did their fullest to try to kill me; traps traps and MORE TRAPS!! Flaming Geysers which bombarded both Poor Xeno AND Afin into the sky (ouch! Surprised ) then stuck in a pit-arena trap called "Code: Elimination!" with a bunch of Lizardmen!! Took them out after one prick did that old favorite "Delsaber hop" (ouch again! *Facepalm!* Roflcopter-Roll ) only to have me get stalled badly but him to mysteriously "self-Destruct" from my Barta-Storm (not sure if this was the new Dambarta version but it sure did wonders!) Then the LRC was about to close so I had to speed things up, got to the biggest enemy squad I have ever faced in the history of Phantasy Star ever.... over 20 enemies on one screen!! Yikes!! Fear-Factor The mid-boss creeps hid in the back after my squad smashed up about 25 of those pests only for even MORE to show up with Darkers this time to make matters even worse so I just dropped the gun, went STRAIGHT for the mini-bosses' cores even if I was roasting in the magma if I failed to ride one's back to smash it from behind but in the end, ignored any pickups I left since on a tight rope with only 1/2 HP left yet still got an "S" clear! Woohoo!! Winner!

Even better, that quest is done for, but then Koffie (the quest commissioner girl) bought up yet ANOTHER quest but I had to skim past that for now and leave. Oops!

FO-Newearl : As for today's report I only have one line:
"Give me a BREAK!! *Facepalm!* "

Sorry, no snaps today but geez... every SINGLE time I went in the mission required just before the big one to unlock it, there's COUNTLESS excuses in my way, this time it was if it was all perfectly planned to stop me dead in tracks from getting that unlocked at all! To worsen things, I got yet another failure at the start because of it all! Sobbing

First off, the Ugly: okay so the map had me pointed out to instantly go forward then North... Darkers here, Lizardmen there. Those things were all over the place and pompous as ever. I ignored the other paths since I was in a rush... which was a bad move! Sad stupidly rushed on and failed with an "A" rank half-assed clear and since not "S", it counted as a miss for that resulting in failure. There goes 20 minutes to nothing... faint

Right, that pissed me off so I cut the crap, ignored the event cards falling around, reduced the squad to 0 (only me) to lower numbers of enemies... or so I thought, then the usual fail-combo comes up instead to counter me: Traps here Traps there, burning geysers right in the middle of a tiny hallway (OUCH!) every single turn I made while running like hell which instead resulted in pain AND time-lagging increase, but the worst of it all to top were the now all of a sudden "Emergency! Code: Elimination!" arena-ambushes! Two of those, but even worse was the "Code: Collection!" raids and they just HAD to happen EVERY SINGLE RUN! Creeps stolen the keys and slammed a big door in my face and scattered 'em miles away which stolen a LOT of time, let alone the pesky traps popping up right in my path every five seconds and every turn or so. VERY annoying! Further, the mini-boss was shredding the squad badly (yes, Echo ended up hitting the floor twice in one round, Zeno also was unlucky at least once too, and even Lisa got smacked a new one) meaning I had to move in, and of course I too was unlucky to take quite a lot of pain by his cheap knockdown crap. All this had me fail every last run against him today by only 1 minute or a few measly seconds "too long!" wow this sucked. Oops!

Oh hell, well at least the one positive thing or two is that I found a rare weapon and I also leveled up, so a new mission is on head.... I'm guessing to make stages even harder now since I've just hit lvl.17 Neutral

Arriving on a start for PSO2 Empty Re: Arriving on a start for PSO2

Post by Arala Cran Mon Oct 01, 2012 4:16 pm

Another day and I messed up twice, but finally the 3rd time looks like I was barely a single minute short. Very lucky there and finally I've done it! Winner!

So next time I'll be off to a really big and true Boss battle for the first time here! Also, yes the 2nd tab I found out actually is the difficulty-amplifier mission to make matters even harder to clear later. That will have to wait as I'll have to back-track to Bad-Bat (Mr. Rock Bear, that is) and smack him a new one over five times in a row. At least the timed stuff is out of the way for now until I truly start advancing ahead.

Also, if it gets a tad too wild, I'll back off and get started on my secondary soon too. A big problem is if I start to actually find some "better" weapons as my wand somehow became a 'toxic' wand; every several combos or so I pull off will result in the enemies mysteriously getting poisoned causing even more damage. Too bad for them. Roflcopter-Roll

Arriving on a start for PSO2 Empty A bad start today...

Finally managed to barely get through but is this good news? Oh hell NO... in fact, it wasn't worth the go as I see I'm still absolutely worthless.

Okay so I was actually very wise to get at least one level up before daring to step foot in the ring, but no... that was seriously not even half-par with this vile SOB. Even attempting a warmup was a pain today, things went by way too fast; the stupid mini-boss large crawlers appeared far too soon. Just one room, go through even if taking my time, was a short move while at it, get to the next room, only a few swarmers get disposed then they pop out right away and there was yet another long path and two massive empty rooms around? Something wasn't right. I aborted it to not risk a bad rank (at that rate, I expect it would have fell below a "B" even which was actually my worst rank in any PS game ever) but that's not what humiliated me.

The nasty excuse of a boss just used Bahamut's Mega Flare like a little scared bitch hiding in a corner in the air, resulting in a Game Over. Cheap fucking card there. Even worse was the maintenence time having to get in the way TOTALLY calling it a "Game Over!" for sure. *Facepalm!*

^- as you can clearly see how much pain the sick F***er did to poor Afin, and that was in only ONE hit! The bastard is just plain horrible. To admit, I didn't see "Mega Flare" coming in THIS game.

Summoned flare traps like Akantor? Every single one = Missed! Rathalos Charge? Failed! Body Slam? Only one got through (shit! Usually tended to do this when I stop and try to heal everyone else especially I've noticed!) Rathalos-Oriented Tail Swipe combo? Total miss! Walking "Flamethrower" method, I was miles away by the time I even caught him taking a whiff of that foul brimstone breath of his, not even close to me there. Orga Dryan's Fireball-Sniper? Double miss! Enraged continuous "hell pillar" bombardment worse than Akantor? Still never got a scored hit off me. And Classic "Grave Digging" from the previous version? Are you kidding? Absolutely predictable. Everything he threw at me was hardly a drift except having me pancaked when trying to heal others. Quite a large, annoying arsenal he has I'd say so myself, every tick of the clock in the match (thank GOD it wasn't timed for once, but now I see why!) he always pulled a new move and very actively while at it to boot. All seemed rather predictable; would miss, and only a small chance to get a hit in.... but MEGA FLARE?! Oh God Damnit, how demonically pompous. That was just plain cheap and nasty! To triple the foul: even the NPCs started to hate me after than stupid unpredicted failure now. Not very impressed

Next time however, you won't get away with that! Complaining Pissed off
