Monster Hunter 1 & 2 Diary

: I've thought it sucked at the start, and it's pretty intense, but once the good stuff's there, I can't stop at it! LOL! I still like Radiant Mythology
much better though. Guess I can call this 2nd place.

I own Monster Hunter: Freedom 1, and not too far after that from it's start,
I even got MH:F2 by mistake (Sayo explained that, and I'm not complaining
about it! LOL! Got a high price for cheap! Way to go for her! ) I like it a
lot better than the first.


Anyway, my stats for both:

Best Job: Gunner (Favorite Weapon: Common Bowgun)
Stock Lvl: 2 (only 2 box max)

Most annoying Bosses : Velocidrome (compared to MH2 w/o Gunlance weapon, this guy being backed by lesser velociraptors around can't be destroyed from me yet! *sobs* )
?Poison Dragon (stays at the Jungle. I wanted a part off him, but he's way too buff here, and a lot of agression at that too! He keeps intercepting my way of trying to get special mushrooms and killing the pigs at the same time he throws me out the room flying, OUCH! He infected a pig with a virus for me to find out who it was, though his shots didn't infect me... YET...)

Most annoying Bosses : Rathos (Damn dragon from the intro! Worse than in MH1!),
Congala (Mega-gassy gorilla, huge at that, and has Rage Drive to worsen it all... lost to him 3/4 times W/ game over, but unlocked him in Training School and bashed him... which I learned that it's time for Auto-guard system!) - and is so far the worst of the bosses I've faced here!,
Bulldrome (stupid pig boss @ stage 1 when NOT needed is a nightmare!),
?Sand-Shark Dragon thingy-drome... (forgot the name, but it's some hammer-head like sand dragon boss in the desert, and he almost killed me, so I had to abort mission and take a game over w/o saving, unlocked stupid event anyway. He was too smart for the trap field, let alone was backed by lesser sand-shark dragons, all huge, but he was even bigger)

: Updated for MH2, now I have a NEW BOSS problem!

Punished:
Congalala (killed in one go this time, no deaths, just as back at the arena mode), Kut-Ku (...not without a -10 penalty, I died once to this bastard and it pissed me off!)

NEW Problem: Kehzu *Urgent Mission Boss (A 'Blind' Raiden-Player {Thunder-Crazy}
dragon who looks like some familiar boss from Resident Evil somewhere, and
his ugly, horrid appearance isn't just for the show either! He makes me feel
like a newbatron again due to the Para-Virus attacks, for he has and some
major extreme-voltages. That's bad enough, though he's slow to attack,
but that DEF and ATK force on him makes up more than deadly enough, but
his rage mode is a total bitch! 3/5 hits = death, OUCH!! )

: Report 03;
*All Chief's Lvl 1 & 2 Missions completed

Gave up on Khezu for now, WAY too hard without the proper "Fart Bombs" (lol!)
to distort him, so I'm taking another way around.

First time fighting Mr.Cerphadrome "Mega Sand-Shark" Boss, and suprizingly
killed him clean in one go at first... now is Round 2, and he's quite a bit of a
pain. Seems this battle takes time, paitence, Strataegy, Power, Items, and
accuricy. (Darn Genprey-Rapotrs! They just ruined it!) Gave up on first 2nd
round attempt because I was in a tight spot and THOUGHT he got away,
only to find him jumping out of the ground right in front of me when it was
too late, so I'm rematching him now with twice the arsenal of Sonic Bombs.
Not going too bright still, so I may need a Full load of them if I fail again...
The worst part of this boss is his cover and counterattack tenacy, then
marking him when he moves away to cover himself...
(Off Topic: I can strangely hear the Desert stage boss theme from Shooter: Space Shot playing while figting this version of the Cerphadrome Boss... lol!)

Enemy: Giadrome - Starting Area: 8
Weapon to use: Any

If this is your first time fighting it you will unlock the Sterling Hunter
Video. The Giadrome can only go to Area 6 and 7. When in Area 6, 7,and 8 even
if you have Armor that gives you cold resist it won't work it only works in
area 4 and 5.

The Giadromes main attack is spiting Ice Chuncks at you which will turn you
into the snowman status (cured by Thawing Agent). The Giadrome usually fights
with Giaprey. The Giadrome likes to jump around so attack it 2 or 3 times then
roll so you don't get hit by it when it jumps. I suggest you kill the Giaprey
before the Giadrome. Before the Giadrome dies it will try to go to the nearest
Area. The Giadrome will give you 2 Carves.

The Giadrome does not drop shinnies.

Area: Desert (Night)
Enemy: Cephadrome - Starting Area: 2
Weapon to use: Eager Cleaver or Thunderbane

If this is your first time fighting it you will unlock the Desert Hunter Video.
It can only go to Area 1, 5, and 7 (It only moves to Area 7 when it is almost
dead) The Cephadrome can be brought out of the sand by using Sonic Bombs. This
can make it drop a shiny.

The Cephadrome is weak against Thunder/Fire. When its fin breaks it should
be weak. Try to Paintball it so you don’t lose it if it comes out of the ground
you will have 1 to 3 minuets to attack it if your lucky you will make it finch
and then you can hurt it. The Cephadrome spit mud 3 chunks at you this can do
a lot of damage if you get hit by all 3 but if you roll none of them will hit
you. The Cephadrome will give you 3 Carves.

Hitting it with a Sonic Bomb sometimes make it drop a shiny. This can be
Wyvern Tears (70%)
Cephalos Scale (20%)
Piscine Liver (10%) finished these two.

If this is your first time fighting it you will unlock the One Horned Daiymo
Video. It can go to Areas 1, 2, and 5 (It only goes to Area 8 when it is
almost dead)

Cephalos and Genprey will be in those Areas, they can paralyze you so you
should kill them first if possible. The Daimyo legs and head is its weak
points. The Daimyo Hermitaur is weak against Thunder/Fire. When it shoots water
at you it charges its shot by frothing up its mouth before it shots the water
when it does roll out of the way. When it jumps up roll out of the way or you
take a lot of damage. Attack it when it hits the ground for massive damage.
When it guards you can't attack its head so attack its sides until it stops
guarding. When attacking its sides will make it flinch a lot. It can also be
poisoned. The Daimyo Hermitaur Will give you 3 Carves.

The Daimyo Hermitaur may sometimes drop a shiny. This can be
Crab Pearl (75%)
Black Pearl (25%)

If this is the first time fighting it you will unlock the The Jungle Outlaw
Video.

The Congalala is fast but predictable when it runs at you roll out of the way
then you can hit it twice. When it does the fart attack but make sure that the
fart does NOT hit you because if you don't have any Deodorant you won't be able
to use any items. There is a chance to attack and when it jumps at you if you
dodge it then you can hurt it but if it hits you are as good as dead. When it
starts swinging at you with its claws stay away but when it falls down attack.
Also if you stand next to it it will push its stomach out and if it hits you
you will fly back you can dodge this by running around it then you can only
attack its back and sides. If you attack its front your attacks will just
bounce off. The Congalala is weak to fire. Its face can be broken to get a
Vibrant Hide. The Congalala will give you 3 Carves.

The Congalala may sometimes drop a shiny if you attack its tail. This can be
Territorial Dung (75%)
Small Monster Bone (15%)
Brute Bone (10%)

The Blangonga will call out Blangos with its roar. The Blangonga will to tackle
you but it is easy to dodge but like the Congalala's. There is a chance to
attack it when it hits the ground. The Blangonga jumps up and tries to land on
you, you can just dodge it but you can attack it because he recovers quickly.
The Blangonga lifts ice from the ground and it break into 3 pieces that can hit
(you if you’re too close to it all 3 can hit you) After it lifts the ice chunk
into the air you can attack its sides 2-3 times but if you get too close the
ice may hit you. When the Blangonga gets into fury it shoots ice breath that
can turn you into the snowman status and do some nice damage. Its fang can be
broken with a fire weapon.

The Blangonga may sometimes drop a shiny. This can be
Territorial Dung (75%)
Blangonga Hide (20%)
Dung (5%)

-A little Sweet Vengance;
....everybody says "Go Shana-Style on 'em!" Guess I have no choice... the katana weapons seem to pierce that annoying Auto-Deflect hide of most bosses so far. Khezu loathes it, I sent him in rage mode 3 times, but the 4th time he just gave me a dirty look and stood there took a beating, then ran away... I'm assuming he's at Zone 3 of the snow stage right now... and if so, he's SO dead Dragon Mince-Meat this time!

: Long upgrade after the last report...
Good:
Daiymo Hermitar is a wuss that's been long toasted seafood (yet can still be
quite gruelling if my luck is down), unless in the arena. I had no clue what
the hell I was doing at first, but I was giving him the grand slamdown, but
now I can't beat him with that cheap armorset! Either way, I pwn him now.

I was screaming in vain when I was forced to face a Blangonga Boss in hard mode @ the guild, but was darn well worth the kill... (though I MAY have to
face him again later), so yup! Hunter Rank Level 2 for me! Found out he has
been located on a much lower difficulty and let's say that he's my very first
boss-type enemy that got caught (I captured that sucker alive!) thus
adding data change to my Guild Card appearance.

Khezu is now a good beating bag, unless he does his cheap combo: Rage
drive mode activate > Scream (sickeningly crawls me to a instantanious halt
and leaving me vulnerable, VERY unfair!) > Bolt-Amplified Body Slam (Ouch,
God Damn it!) > (pinned by wall, and bad camera action) + Raiden Coat =
Disaster. Most of the time now, he can't take that chance, unless a pesky
Vespoid fly or some stupid Giaprey Raptor is infrindging in the battle ...talk
about annoyance.

The Roflcopter:
Gendromes, Kut-Kus, and Velocidromes , Gaiadromes... even Iordromes...
all these losers of a boss are pussies! I love beating the crap out of them
Gendrome and VelociDrome Raptor Bosses! I had a good laugh at my 4th IorDrome Kill bceause a conga had farted on him... Owned! LOL!

Yet another very COOL boss fight was with VS Brasios. He forced me to
use the bow weapons for a mission for the 1st time due to the fact that
swords, and ANY other weapon as a No-no for that massive rocky ass!
Anyway, he was one hell of a fun boss to fight because the way they set
the fine-aim (use R-1) mode made me feel like I was in Resident Evil 4! the
camera view was the SAME as there for that mode, so I did it for the thrill.
The worst part of the boss fight there was the pesky Iorprey-Rapotrs
acting like those Los Illuminados in RE-4 against Ada, LOL!

For the side stash, I ended up getting a thief-neko's weapon, and I had no idea the game set the point that if I had that then I'd end up with a voice change that's relative to Mao. LOL! Very kawaii.
Even so, it's kinda weak for now, so I stick with the Eager Cleiver Blade or
some random cool Gunlance. I also got a Maid's Dress set unlocked for the
making (woot! The black outfits!), but the problem is I have to face some
nasty bosses in the arena who I haven't unlocked yet, and some who I did
are NOT being very friendly to me there anymore... I DID manage to make the gothic-looking boots, oh how so cute they look on my character!

The Bad:
I've got quite a handful on powerful bosses who now appear to wreck havoc
in their wake... some familiar, others just plain freaky and freshly emerging
from the bowels of hell. (No, litterly, they said that one was of EVIL, and
they aren't lying!)

Raithalos, Chaos wrecking veteran dragon who lives at Forest&Hills (stage 1
of MH1) has made a appearance in MH2, and still as stupid, but VERY strong
as before, with a intensify-mod at hand to aid himself this time... This boss
isn't required to be destroyed yet, but to say at my attempts before
against him, it wasn't good. I almost downed him on my very first go, as I
caught him fleeing to his base (the Cave Zone of the area), sleeping...
meaning he was VERY weak, but due to that, he got intense VERY easily,
and plus the annoying Velociraptors around made it worse via distractions
and occasional Back-Counters (ouch! =^;_;^= ) and ended up getting
blown to hell by his Jump-Bomber counter after panicking on "Time Low!"
warning. I did NOT save this failure.

Yup, them Kut-Kuz are a pain in the higher ranked missions for Enemy Boost,
but that's not a freit, their daddy came back home;... low and behold... a
BLACK Kut-Ku!! VERY evil, corrupt fusion of Raithalos and a normal Kut-Ku
boss, bound to having Rapid Fire, WITH poison attack combo... and he's
VERY pissed off! That creep's by the name: Yian Garuga. He's a Kut-Ku/
Raithalos freak of Darkness! According to the BGM change for THIS battle,
he's apparently a MAJOR boss this time compared to those other ones I
faced! His boss theme is more serious. This lasted a LONG time of a fight,
and I was saved a deathblow from him by a angry little mosswine to take a
very little ammount of pain and have a chance to heal and counter/escape.
Even so, he dived into the dephts of the cave in the Jungle stage, and
being backed by annoying Vespoid freaks and a bastard-Hornetar, it ended
in failure. I didn't save this either even though they said "Boss Training for
Yian Garuga Unlocked", I disapproved it and started over from my last save.


UGLY Mother of the Baddies:
Tigrex, the unexpected Insane boss even shown in the intermezzo vid of
the game who sends everyone flying off the snow mountians like a batch
of Dodo birds, the one who shocked that Elite Hunter into total retirement,
Extremely Mobile mass weapon of destruction, who loves to do opperation
Resident Evil 4 and DMC's DMD mode Boss Confrontations (one to three hit
kills off you), Completely arrogant and agressive son of an unholy bytch...
Tigrex, holder of Absolute Power, and Stage 4's End Boss... is unfortiunetly
my target now... and God am I having a Impossable chance trying to take
him down! Damn well can't kill me in 1/3 hits anymore; HOWEVER, this
technicly changes nothing else in particular. He's Buff, and as said, HIGH
Mobile moving tank that packs one nasty tackle combo, a full 360 Tail Slash,
and backed by a 3-way Mega Ice Bomber! Apparently due to this, it forced
me to diss the use of the katan, and go BACK to being as a newb with the
Gunlance for it's Strong Defense system (though ONE dash attack is more
than enough to deteriorate defenses by half if I boosted it with use of
rations, which I assume is a one hit = Shield destruction blow) and it DOES
help. Moreover, he hates taking headshots by Wyvern Blaster drive attacks
from me to the head, I slammed him at least four times, but it only pisses
him off. The worst is if he gets behind me in the start of the boss room,
foiling my plans of "shoot to counter - then flee", as well as "recovery-flee"
if things get ugly. I will admit that I lasted a bit longer than with the katana
weapon at this point, but it's still seeming as if not worth it... he's FAR too
strong, and time limit is near half-expired. I might have to give up till I get
300+ def or higher, but if I DON'T beat him, there's no way I'll get to the
places that DO have that!

Who will win? Who will lose?
(Actually... I won over him, finally! Even with his tag-team arrangement against me alone! )

: All the regular missions by the Chief Lady are cleared for
now. All that's left are the Omake-Boss battles from her, and anything
past HR2. I currently aim for HR-3 now, but I am already that Tigrex
will be there waiting for me all over again for a rematch, this time with
X2 his power... *sigh* (as if he wasn't brutal enough from my first
encounter with him! Why am I so hated...?)

Well, if this is the way he is going to play, then I'll buff till my armor
can't level up without a Hard Armor Sphere (which is non-existant to
my current level). I already completely cleared every HR1 mission on
the Guild List alone! All 1 to 3 sets!

Another thing left is the Boss Rush battles in the Training School.
Currently Unlocked and destroyed bosses are:
Kut-Ku (hammered. He is actually Harder than in normal battles here!),
Diyamo Hermituar (I bladed him with my sword),
Congalala (first boss destroyed, now with TWO weapons!),

Lady Kirin (sliced with my Opperation: STFU tactic! She speaks?
Then she gets hit, HARD!),

I saw your fight with the Plescoth. That one was a huge ass fish
compared to the other four you fought, lol! And you finally yanked
this one out of the water with a frog!

Wasn't that event creepy?

Yup, this boy was bigger than I ever seen a Plesicoth in a while!

Anyway...


....just because
you beaten me over 2 times before, and now even stronger than
before, doesn't mean I'll let you intercept MY mission to become
a stronger hunter! I'll show you absolutely NO mercy this time,
Tigrex! Let's settle this little dispute, down and dirty!! And I also
don't plan on letting you scare me into defensive mode this time
either!

: Okay, here's today's report.

Good news first:
I decided to take on an Omake Boss battle from the Chief Lady. I
decided to fight my favorite rival in pink (LOL! Pink Raithian!), and
just whupped her butt, no questions. The gitchies were the facts that:
1- She was a bit bigger than normal,
2- She had higher defense and HP than normal,
3- She was in pink and has blue eyes! (Very cute!)
4- Had somewhat of a harder shell to penetrate with my blade to
her head, wings and tail were a no-go.

nothing else in partucular.

...and now for the BAD news:
I had used my last Mega Demondrug and Armorskin on her, but simply
had got more from the Khezu whelp mission.
Not too bad of news, 'ne? well I gad to get them for a reason....

for the UGLY:
Now here is my current battle, a rematch with Tigrex again. I had
actually stayed with my Devil Slicer, and this time wore my full Kirin
set!
Wanna see?

...Anyway, enough the funny flirting and joking around. Everyone
can see as I'm posting this that I'm in a slightly bad mood right
now. Why? Well, as for those of you guessed... yes, it's Tigrex's
fault.

I actually had a much better start this time strangely and am
somewhat able to step around his most annoying attack:
Super Sonic Tigrex Tackle Rush... well, somewhat an able to
now... but as you already predicted, I lost a few times to him
all over again, and did NOT save this useless humiliation and
loss of items, fame points, and money. If it's not him doing his
cheap Tigrex Tackle Combo when he blows a fuse, then it's him
being supported of me being shoved into it by his stupid Giaprey
or Blango reinforcements attacking me from every which way
while I have to keep an eye out especially for HIM because he
hurts the worst of ALL that crap!

Three deaths already because of that, yet none of them were
an easy win for the bastard. Every round I had at least for once
slammed him on his ass two to five times, and twice consecutively!
I even broken his face a bit! Even so, he's still WAY too strong,
so I need a break. Also I have to do this undercover, but people
are moving around too much so I had been forced to stop for a
few hours, maybe I might get more focused than angry later and
get him again, if lucky... damn that son of a byeitch.

Grrrr!!!!!


: Bah... Tigrex, the cheap faggot... 2nd day of attempt,
and he gets the cheap Scream, Stun, attack, stun, attack, -repeat
constant two annoying actions till cheap chicken finish-... I think
it's just about time to amplify my anti-stun defenses. The Gunlance
is too slow, my katana has double of THAT attack power, and I'm
STILL slamming the fag around. Khezu is no different, I've begin to
notice, but is much weaker than this ass.
I mean... now I finally got the courage and brains to face him with
OUT going in chicken mode, but now here he comes with a cheap,
chicken combo of his own! I can ONLY carry one Mega Demondrug
and Armorskin boost, and 5 Nutrients because I'm weighed down with
all sorts of other equipment, yet he will NOT give me a chance to use
unless I caught him with his pants down (meaning if I ambushed him,
stunned HIM instead, or caught him sleeping, then I can proceed some
carpet bombing on his head as an alarm clock.)

Dropping Attack Force is going to be the problem however, but I
already have over 770+, but it's useless against that thick hide of
his buttside... and I'm TIRED of getting stunned! It's his only cheap
way out of getting his spankings!

Great... now that I have FINALLY destroyed Tigrex with a
"Faust Method" (oops, I impaled him right up the discharge
chute with the blade giving him a last 10,000 volts) when
he had his head stuck in the wall, I fonally gotten the Level
3 rank! Good for that, but why I'm not happy? It's because
of the fact that now something else bad happens in real life.

'tis seeming a problem when I try to scrape around for a
miracle, then here comes a HUGE storm of curses to take it
away and knock that smile right off my face! =^T_T^=

: Well if that is the case, you can refer to me if
some boss-type opponent is too irritating. Start you off now,
in MH-F2, make sure you go through all the Weapon Mastery

and weapon mastery missions are complete, you should land
on the current stats for a good start:

at least 8000+ Zenny,
over 15 or 20 potions,
15+ Honey,
some armor spheres (to upgrade teh noob Mafumofu armor to
provide some nominal defense, if not getting any new armor yet),
some other stuff to make weapons, bombs, armor, etc,
Unlocked Protection Piercing, and some special belts in the
creation shop.

Also, refer to my newly started FAQ for armor creation. The topic
is about mostly MH-F2 armor creation for beginners, with some
advanced stuff added in as well. To be honest, I was actually the
first to motivate some other hunters to outspread their armor
creation guides, and I'm the first to start one and announce it.

I started with MHF 1 first. Couldn't work out what the fuck I'm doing. Imported my character into MHF 2 and I'm actually getting somewhere. Pics soon.

she was fighting a strong Diablos Boss (Guild Level 5-star), lost once
and started over without saving the loss, but durring her rematch
she has passed some bloopers:

Blooper 1: Got shot by a Cerphalos's Sand Rocket and flew through Diablos's legs.

Blooper 2: Used a Cat as a unmanned homing mine to bombard him, the next second she was running, the cat was flying as fast as she was running right along side of her while having a burning butt!

Blooper 3 (the best one): Ren got hit by a tail-swipe but at the same time she counterattacked him; the result was as if she pounced that tail and it broke like a cheap toy! Even though she was angry for losing once and starting over, It was really fast that it was hillarious! Both fell down at the same time!!

Blooper 4: Finally she got her wanted: Basasarious Rock (a guitar), and was rocking it! Nice view, but some angry blangos were disappointed, so she beat them with it but it exploded THEM!

*First Round: Volcanic Belt. Lunastra was beaten enough to run away.
*2nd Round: Ancient Tower. Lunastra has locked the room for an epic
duel-to-death boss battle, but taken a beating, then turned around
giving me a dirty look, then she screamed and ran away...?

Lunastra has surrendered and ran away twice, thus became the
loser.

: My current wanted target is still the mighty Lao-Shin Lung...
I now have accidentally created a 913 attack powered Guardian Sword, but still....

and as a blast to the past, I now am helping a family member get himself to a high rank
in MH-F1 until I can get another MH-F2 and we get to business.

When I first saw the title, I thought it was Monster RANCHER. I think this is what's called an optical illusion.
